Ride Tips

DAPS for Disney Magic shows this beautiful parade that celebrates the many dreams Walt Disney brought to life along with some newer dreams that followed from his vision. With parade stops along the parade route, The Parade of Dreams offers an up close view of the floats and characters along with some surprises in the show!

Explore small town America as it was at the dawning of
the 20th century. Spend time shopping or traveling on modes of transportation rarely seen these days. Or
instead visit the Opera House and see President
Abraham Lincoln deliver the Gettysburg address. Or
maybe you'd rather spend and evening listening to
the piano playing of Rod Miller. Check the following attractions out at Main Street USA.

Disneyland Railroad
Ride on the Disneyland Railroad as it weaves its way around the outside of Disneyland. As your travel around the park you will stop at New Orlean's Square, Fantasyland/Toon Town Station, Tomorrowland, and also visit the Grand Canyon as it looks both today and during the time of the dinosaurs!

Opera House
Tour Walt Disney's office and also hear Abe Lincoln deliver the Gettysburg address when you visit the Opera House. Abe Lincoln speaks every 20 minutes during normal operating hours.

Fire Station
Visit the home of the Disneyland Fire Department and see what it was like to be a fire fighter in the early 1900's. Look in the window above the fire station to see Walt Disney's apartment where a light is left on nightly awaiting his return.

Main Street Cinema
See six original black and white Mickey Mouse cartoons when you visit Main Street's only cinema.

Main Street Transportation
Ride and Omnibus, fire truck, horse drawn trolly, or an old fashioned car when you travel on Main Street. These attractions are usually closed in the evenings so catch them during the day.

Main Street Food
Enjoy the variety of foods offered as you enjoy a range of offerings from Ice Cream to Corn Dogs to a sit down meals when you dine on Main Street.

Main Street Shops
Shop for souvineers, clothing, music, or artwork on the many shops of Main Street. These shops remain open every night an hour after Disneyland Park's closing.

The Matterhorn
Take a fast-paced ride in a bobsled as you speed through the slopes and caverns of the Matterhorn.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Take a flight above Fantasyland aboard Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

Peter Pan
Fly from Wendy, John, and Michael's nursery above London as you go to Neverland. See Captain Hook and Peter Pan duel and then return aboard a flying Pirate Ship freshly dusted with Tink's Pixie Dust.

Alice in Wonderland
Follow Alice as she tumbles down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. Visit the singing garden, the queen's croquet match and of course no trip to Wonderland would be complete without a tea party!

Snow White's Scary Adventure
Join Snow White as she and the 7 Dwarfs sing and dance together. Watch out though as the evil queen will try to kill Snow White!

Pinocchio
Take a journey with Pinocchio and his conscience, Jiminy Cricket, as he tries to become a real boy.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Discover the true meaning of crazy drivers when you follow Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

Storybook Land
Tour the homes of various Disney characters as you float down the rivers of Storybook Land and hear the stories of Disney's most beloved characters.

Casey Jr's Circus Train
Ride aboard the circus train that carried Dumbo and Timothy Mouse.

King Arthur's Carousel
Enjoy the music from classic Disney movies as you circle the murals of Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip in the center of Fantasyland.

It's a Small World
Float through the many countries of the world and discover that it really is a small world after all.

The Mad Tea Party
Spin yourself dizzy as you discover how mad a tea party can really be.

Big Thunder Mountain
Originally THE RAINBOW CAVERNS and then THE MINE TRAIN THROUGH NATURE'S WONDERLAND, Big Thunder Mountain offers a wild ride ride of a run-away mine train as you careen through the mountains of Frontierland.

The Mark Twain
The Mark Twain is a life like remake of a riverboat sternwheeler. It travels in the Rivers of America around Tom Sawyer Island during it's 15 minute voyage.

The Columbia Sailing Ship
A smaller version of the first ship to sail around the world, the Columbia sales the Rivers of America around Tom Sawyer Island and offers guests a glimpse of what it was like to sail and explore on a windjammer.

Tom Sawyer Island
Tom Sawyer Island offers both kids and children alike the chance to explore caves, climb trees, cross floating bridges, or just take a liesurely walk in the woods, just as Tom Sawyer did many years ago.

The Golden Horseshoe
Home to Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, you can also enjoy a meal in this wild west themed resteraunt/theater.

Big Thunder Ranch
Get a taste of life in the west as you visit the animals of Big Thunder Ranch. With horses, goats and other animals along with their handles, you can get a feel for what it is like to be a part of the old west.

The Shootin' Exposition
Test your shooting skills at the Shootin' Exposition as you target vultures, trees, and other targets from the wild wild west.

The Tiki Room
Opened in 1963, the Tiki Room is home to Disneyland's 225 original audio-animatronic animated characters. Leading the group are four feathered friends, Jose, Pierre, Michael, and Fritz. Before coming to the Tiki Room, Fritz could be found above the entrance to Adventureland clogging the walk way as people would stop and stare.

Aladdin's Oasis
Aladdin's Oasis opened in 1993. This features "storytime" with Aladdin and his friends. This site was originally the home to the Tahitian Terrace restaurant along with a Polynesian show.

Indiana Jones
Did you know....The Indiana Jones Adventure was built on what was once the Eeyore section of the old parking lot. The Indiana Jones Adventure is set at the Temple of the Forbidden Eye on the Lost Delta of India in the year 1935.

Tarzan's Treehouse
Originally The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Tarzan's treehouse now occupys this enormous tree. However you can still hear strains of the old organ tune played in the original attraction coming from the record player on the ground level under the tree.

Pirates of the Caribbean

The Haunted Mansion
"When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight."

The Disney Gallery
Above Pirates of the Caribbean, the Disney Gallery offers showcases of Disney arts and attractions. Exhibits change frequently.

Space Mountain
Space Mountain offers a fast and thrilling ride through the darkness of space. Currently closed for rennovations, it will re-launch sometime in 2005.

Star Tours
Ride the Endor Express and get caught in an Emperial dispute as you journey to Endor with a quirky pilot.

Innoventions
Discover the technology of today and the ideas for tomorrow as you follow Tom Morrow into the two stories of the Innoventions Building.

Monorail
Travel on the first system of it's type to operate daily in the western hemisphere as you travel the 2.5 mile route from The Tomorrowland Station, through Disneyland and Disney's Califonia Adventure, to the Disneyland Hotel/Downtown Disney Station and back.

Autopia
Tour the roads of Tomorrowland with drivers of all ages. Discover the ultimate adventure of driving both on and off road in a world where no license is required.

Submarines
Rumored to be returning to Tomorrowland soon, the Submarines offer the experience of underwater exploration.

Astro Orbiter
Test your skills at piloting the Astro Orbiter as you race around the entrance to Tomorrowland.

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster
Fight the evil powers of Zurg as you travel through space with Buzz Lightyear.

Club Buzz
Become a Space Ranger with Buzz Lightyear and Star Command or catch a weekend band at this stage in the heart of Tomorrowland.

Honey I Shrunk the Audience
Attend Inventor of the Year Ceremony where an accident reduces you to the size of a bug.

Pizza Port
The main food establishment of Tomorrowland, the Pizza Port offers Pizza, Salads, Pasta and other treats to satisfy an empty stomach.

Visit the home of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and the rest of the gang when you tour this wacky community that is the home of Disney's "toons."

Gadget's Go Coaster

The Jolly Trolly
Tour Mickey's Toon Town in this relaxing and wacky trolly as it travels back and forth in a rocking and rolling track.

Mickey's House and Movie Barn
Explore Mickey's very own home along with his built in studio where you can discover what it is like to live in Mickey's world.

Minnie's House
Visit Minnie's house and discover the secrets of being the girlfriend to the world's most beloved mouse.

Goofy's Bounce House
This is exactly what you always imagined Goofy's house to be like. It is a place where jumping on the furniture is normal and things are made for Goofy to be. .well. ..Goofy!

We're now entering Splash Mountain, where every day is one of those, "Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah" Days. If you look real hard, you might just find your laughin' place. -The Disneyland Railroad. Critter Country is also the home of Winnie the Pooh.

Splash Mountain
You WILL get wet, how much remains to be seen. This ride combines music, laughter, water, and of course a BIG drop.

Winnie the Pooh
Ride in a honey comb as you tour the hundred acre wood. Watch out for Huffalumps and Woosles!

Enter the world of movieland when you enter Hollywood Backlots. This unique area showcases what is like to live and work in a Hollywood studio.

The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror

Visit the home of Disney's original magic. . .Animation. In the Disney Animation building you can see how movies are animated, animate a quick sketch of your own, find out what Character you are, or view the sensational documentary on the ultimate animator himself, Walt Disney.

Muppet Vision 3D
Discover what new tricks the Muppets have up to their sleeves as they show you their newest venture. . .3D. Just watch out, with Gonzo, Mrs. Piggy, the Critics, and a few other unique personalities combining to create this show. . .you never know what may happen!

Hyperion Theater featuring Disney's Aladdin
Join Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Carpet and more as they relive the magic and adventure of the Magic Lamp in this 45 minute long theatrical extravaganza.

Playhouse Disney -- Live on Stage!
Join all the characters of Playhouse Disney for a fun and musical experience.

California's beautiful coastline is peppered with piers, the most famous of which is the Santa Monica Pier. Disney's California Adventure recreates the beach music and atmosphere of the seaside pier with Paradise Pier.

California Screamin'
Scream through Paradise Pier on one of the best roller coasters around. This high speed ride will offer you a quick tour over and above Paradise Pier with a magnificent view of the Disneyland Resort before plunging down to Paradise Pier again.

Sun Wheel
